Retired but not really!

How did you get into yoga?

I was looking for a more gentle class that wouldn’t put too much stress on my joints as previously I had done pilates until I had knee problems.

How did you find Yoga Flourish?

The studio is close to where I live and I saw the advertising and then enquired about classes.

What were your first impressions of Yoga Flourish when you came by?

My first impressions were of feeling welcome and at ease and I didn’t have any notion of feeling like a newbie at all. The studio was lovely too.

Could you please share your experience of what effect Yoga has had on your life, health of body and mind. How has Yoga made you feel?

Yoga has made me feel I am part of a special community where I can just be myself. The studio is a perfect place where I can just switch off from the stresses of life. I feel strong in body and mind, happy to belong to such a friendly bunch of people and I look forward to going to the classes every week.

Anything further you would like to share about an individual teacher or anything you think new student would like to know as they too can be quite nervous as they start heir journeys?

The teachers are very knowledgable for beginner students, as there are lots of different options that they help you with by the use of props to get you into a pose, and also to make sure you are doing it correctly so as not to sustain an injury. There is no feeling of being inadequate at all as everyone is on their own yoga journey as all bodies have different mobility ranges. There are so many different classes and workshops too.
